Leanne Wilson returned to New Zealand after
living in Australia, during which time she worked extensively
in the hospitality industry, including high profile positions
at Ansett Airlines, British Airways and for the Concord.
Her interest and detailed food knowledge was developed
while working as a food buyer in the famous Food Hall at
David Jones, Sydney. She then concentrated on service and
front of house, joining the team at the Sydney Opera House
where she worked her way through management levels to become
Operations Co-ordinator.
Duties included maintaining the day to day running of the
six restaurants, fourteen bar outlets and the function department,
coordinating themed and special outdoor catering events
for large numbers in and around the Opera House. Leanne
became an accredited trainer for Hospitality Excellence
working extensively throughout Australia.
Arriving back in Christchurch she and her partner managed
a large hotel / motel complex before returning to Marlborough.
After working locally for a number of years and seeing a
niche in the local market, she decided to return to her
passion of food entertaining and catering and set up Posh
Nosh Marlborough Ltd.
Posh Nosh has sustained steady growth and due to the expansion
of the business Steve is now joining Leanne on a fulltime
basis to assist with the business side of things, as well
as everything from packing the chiller truck, setting up
lights at an isolated function down in the Sounds, to doing
the dreaded dishes.
Other exciting developments are the recent completion of
our own on site commercial kitchen, creating greater flexibility
when doing food prep, juggling a young family and plenty
of storage for large functions.
We have recently set up an operation in Picton this allows us to service a wider client base in the Marlborough sounds area. Again the focus is on producing great food in those out of the way locations, as well as meeting our regular client needs based in Picton. With Blenheim and Picton complimenting each other Posh Nosh is able to cover the Marlborough area with great service and fantastic food.
